The Beautification Committee transformed the front of Bull Shoals' newest restaurant. Now Hank & Katie's bakery and café looks so nice! Thanks again to the Flippin Walmart for donating plants! And to Gabriele from Gabriele's Flowers and Fibers for buying more signs from Mary at Ozark Engraving. They're yellow this time, and they look great!

The crew has been arranging plants donated by Flippin Walmart in pots donated by Ozark Landcrafters. You will see them at several sites in Bull Shoals, including the Volunteer Fire Department, Shape Fitness, the Little Bit Used Shop, and the Bull Shoals Theater. The beautifiers pruned the yew hedges and pulled the leaves out from around them. With the debris gone, they found a rock garden bed with edging already there! They added some perennials donated by Flippin Walmart, washed the rocks, and now the bath house is better. (Notice the red sign donated by Ozark Engraving.) Ryan and Marilyn used more of the plants from Flippin Walmart to polish up the north entrance to McDonald Meadows at Alford. Marilyn, Garby and Ryan planted flowers at the entrance of the Chamber Office using perennials donated by the good folks at the Flippin Walmart nursery and mulch from the City of Bull Shoals. The Beautification Committee dressed up the landscape of the Bull Shoals Library using materials donated from Harp's of Bull Shoals, Flippin Walmart, Bull Shoals Hardware, and the City of Bull Shoals. The story made the front page of the Mountaineer Echo on June 4, 2015. |
